** Shares of Investigator Resources IVR.AX fall 5.9% to A$0.032, their lowest level since June 6

** Metal explorer received firm commitments to raise A$4.3 mln ($2.80 mln) through a share placement at 3 Australian cents per share

** Issue price represents a discount of 11.8% to co's last close

** Around 3.2 shares change hands vs the 30-day average of 2.4 mln shares

** Stock fell as much as 8.8% earlier in the day

** Stock up 60% this year, including the day's move
