Philadelphia chip index set for worst quarter since March 2020

** The Philadelphia SE Semiconductor Index  .SOX  is set for
its worst quarterly performance since the pandemic crash in
March 2020, having declined about 11% so far this quarter
    ** IPG Photonics  IPGP.O  has underperformed the most on the
index this quarter, down 34.2% 
    ** Nvidia Corp  NVDA.O , the stock with the most weight on
the index, has declined ~6% so far in the quarter 
    ** Advanced Micro Devices  AMD.O , Qualcomm  QCOM.O , Micron
 MU.O  as well as Applied Materials  AMAT.O  have declined
between 13.7% to 17.2% in 2022
    ** Wider tech stocks have also suffered this year due to
worries about rising interest rate rates globally 
    ** As of last close, Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, Nvidia, Broadcom,
Applied Materials and Micron have roughly lost a combined $158
bln in market cap so far this quarter - Refinitiv data
