James River's Bowman to retire at end of September, succeeded by Binnie

Sept 2 - (The Insurer) - James River Group Holdings said on Tuesday its specialty admitted segment's president and CEO William K. Bowman will retire on September 30.

Bowman will be succeeded by Lisa Binnie, who took over the role of president on September 1 to ensure an orderly transition.

Binnie was senior vice president of risk management at the company for more than eight years, her LinkedIn profile shows. Before that, she had worked at The Hanover Insurance Group for almost 13 years.

James River said in July it had appointed Joel Cavaness to its board as an independent, non-executive member and part of its compensation and human capital committee.
