** Shares of Jaro Institute of Technology Management and Research JARO.NS drop 17% in trading debut

** Online higher education and upskilling platform co's 4.5 bln rupee ($50.7 mln) IPO was subscribed 22.06x

** IPO comprised fresh issue of shares worth 1.7 bln rupees and sale of shares worth 2.8 bln by large shareholder Sanjay Namdeo Salunkhe

** JARO valued at 16.4 bln rupees as of 15:14 IST

** Trading vols at 4.1 mln shares so far

** Proceeds from offering to be used for marketing and to repay debt

($1 = 88.7470 Indian rupees)
