DEFICIT
Eurostat said that Poland's public finance deficit reached 8.5% of Gross Domestic Product (GDP) in the second quarter of 2025. Among European Union countries, Poland is surpassed only by Romania in terms of deficit, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily reported.
DATA
The Polish Statistical Office will release data on retail sales for September at 0800. Analysts polled by Reuters forecast that its growth accelerated to 6.8% from 3.1% in the previous month.
CENTRAL BANK
On Wednesday at 0800, the National Bank of Poland will publish a report on the situation of enterprises.
PKO BP
Poland's largest lender, PKO BP PKO.WA>, has accelerated its growth in recent months, which gives space for in-depth reflection on expansion, including foreign expansion, Chief Executive Officer Szymon Midera told Puls Biznesu daily.
JSW
The Minister of Energy has added JSW JSW.WA to the list of companies that will be covered by the state support mechanism under the amendment to the mining act, Parkiet daily reported.
