Nov 18 (Reuters) - Swedish builder Skanska SKAb.ST is raising the operating margin target for its construction division to at least 4.0%, it said ahead of its investor day on Tuesday.
The company did not specify a time period for the target. The previous goal was for a margin of at least 3.5%.
"During the last five years we have improved earnings quality and predictability in our Construction business stream," Skanska President and CEO Anders Danielsson said.
The Nordic region's largest builder kept its other financial targets unchanged.
Earlier this month, Skanska reported a third-quarter operating profit below analysts' expectations and booked writedowns of 658 million Swedish crowns ($69.4 million) on its U.S. properties.
