** Goldman Sachs <GS.N> will acquire exchange-traded funds provider Neos Investments for as much as $2.25 billion, as the investment bank looks to bolster its presence in asset management.

** Sunstar Insurance Group has acquired RJR Faribo Insurance Agency, marking its entry into the Minnesota market and expanding its Midwest presence.

** Philippines' First Gen Corp <FGEN.PS> said that global investment firm KKR <KKR.N> has offered to buy 8.43% of the shares held by First Philippine Holdings Corp <FPH.PS> in the power producer.

** FleetPartners <FPR.AX> said it had received a takeover bid from Japan's ORIX <8591.T> alongside a sweetened offer from Pacific Equity Partners-backed SG Fleet, sending shares of the vehicle lease provider to an eight-year high.

** Joby Aviation <JOBY.N> said on Tuesday it would buy defense technology company Resonant Sciences for about $500 million, as it looks to scale its business in a growing defense market.
