Odile Desforges - Change of Directorships

In accordance with Rule 9.6.14 of the Listing Rules of the Financial Conduct
Authority, Johnson Matthey Plc (the "Company") announces that Ms Odile
Desforges, a non-executive director of the Company, has been appointed a
non-executive director of Imerys S.A. with effect from 4th May 2016.

In addition, Ms Desforges will cease to be a non-executive director of Sequana
on 12th May 2016 upon the expiration of her term of office.
