U.S. stocks treaded water on Thursday, as gains in bank shares
ahead of earnings were countered by growth worries following
warnings from major central banks.  .N 
    At 10:43 a.m. ET, the Dow Jones Industrial Average  .DJI 
was up 0.19 percent at 26,207. The S&P 500  .SPX  was up 0.16
percent at 2,892.78 and the Nasdaq Composite  .IXIC  was down
