PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS
The candidate of Poland's ruling Civic Coalition (KO), Warsaw Mayor Rafal Trzaskowski, leads opinion polls ahead of the May 18 presidential election with support of 33.2%, according to a poll by IBRiS published on Monday by state-controlled Polskie Radio 24.
Karol Nawrocki, the candidate supported by Poland's main opposition party Law and Justice (PiS), has 25.6% support. He is followed by the far-right Confederation party candidate Slawomir Mentzen with 11.5%.
DEBT
The Polish Finance Ministry will hold an auction of bonds worth 6.0-10.00 billion zlotys ($1.6 billion-$2.7 billion) at 0930.
KGHM KGH.WA
Polish copper producer KGHM is not changing its dividend policy and does not want to change it, Chief Executive Officer Andrzej Szydlo told Parkiet daily.
He added that a small part of the company's foreign assets could be sold, but American Robinson, Canadian Victoria and Chile's Sierra Gorda mines are not in this group.
RAILWAY
Until the end of this decade, PKP PLK - a Polish railway operator - will pay invoices for construction works worth 15-16 billion zlotys a year, Chief Executive Officer Piotr Wyborski told Dziennik Gazeta Prawna daily.
