** Shares of U.S. chip stocks gain premarket after strong results and guidance from TSMC 2330.TW
** The Taiwanese chipmaker reports a 35% profit jump in Q4 and forecasts capital spending of $52-$56 billion in 2026

** U.S.-listed shares of TSMC TSM.N jump 3.8% in premarket trading

** Nvidia NVDA.O up 0.9%, Advanced Micro Devices AMD.O and Broadcom AVGO.O rise about 1.2%

   ** Marvell Technology MRVL.O up 1.3% while Micron Technology MU.O rises 2.5%

  ** U.S.-listed shares of Arm Holdings O9Ty.F, ARM.O up 1.5%

** Shares of chip-making equipment companies also jump; Lam Research LRCX.O up 5.2%, Applied Materials AMAT.O rise 5.4%
** iShares Semiconductor ETF SOXX.O gains 2.5%
** European semiconductor stocks also rise, with ASML ASML.AS surging to fresh all-time high
