** Shares of casualwear chain Lands End LE.O up ~10% at $12.37 premarket

** Co begins a process to explore strategic alternatives, including a sale, merger or similar transaction, to maximize shareholder value

** Lands End said on Feb. 25 it had received a letter from co's shareholder and former Sears CEO Edward Lampert requesting the company to initiate a sale process

** LE rose 37.5% in 2024, and has fallen 14.5% YTD as of last close
