Australia's Li-S Energy jumps on grant to develop lithium foils

** Shares of Li-S Energy  LIS.AX  rise as much as 24% to
A$0.155; set to gain most since Dec. 18, 2023, if current gains
hold
    ** The battery developer says it was awarded A$1.7 million
($1.12 million) industry growth program grant
    ** Adds, grant is to develop production line to produce
lithium foils
    ** Co says, folis are used in the making of lithium
batteries
    ** Stock hits its highest level since May 27
    ** Stock down over 30% this year, as of last close
