Australia's Koonenberry Gold touches one-week high as major shareholders raise stake

** Shares of  Koonenberry Gold KNB.AX rise as much as 12.5% to A$0.036, their highest level since June 23

** The gold explorer says major shareholders, Lion Selection Group and Lowell Resources Fund, will buy 35 million shares of co from Datt Capital and associates through an off-market purchase

** Transaction increases Lion Selection's position in co to 9.2%

** However, shares of co  are down 54.9% this month, on track for its worst month since February 2024; stock up 176.9% YTD
