** Stock set to join tech-heavy Nasdaq-100 .NDX, effective July 7, index operator Nasdaq NDAQ.O said on Friday
** Index operator FTSE Russell LSEG.L also added SpaceX to its Russell U.S. indexes after Friday's close as part of semiannual index reconstitution
** Nasdaq, FTSE Russell among top index providers that tweaked criteria to fast-track inclusion of companies into major indexes last month; MSCI also confirmed early inclusion of large IPOs in Global Standard Indexes
** SpaceX has swung between sharp losses and small profits over the past three years; only a small portion of shares are freely available for trading
** Inclusions into Nasdaq-100 and FTSE Russell could bring in about $4.3 billion from passive investors, JPMorgan estimates
** Stock is up roughly 14% above its IPO price of $135 and is worth about $2 trillion
