** Shares of South Korea's Lotte Chemical Corp  011170.KS 
rise as much as 2.4 pct, extending gains to a fourth consecutive
session 
    ** Lotte Corp  004990.KS  said on Wednesday it planned to
buy a 23.24 pct stake in chemicals affiliate for 2.2 trillion
won ($1.93 billion)
    ** Lotte Corp plans to acquire about 4.1 mln Lotte Chemical
shares from Hotel Lotte and about 3.9 mln shares from Lotte
Property & Development, according to a regulatory filing
