GDANSK, June 3 (Reuters) - Poland's fashion retailer LPP LPPP.WA announced on Tuesday that as part of its strategy unveiled in April the company is commencing the next phase of international expansion by focusing on countries in Central Asia.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
LPP's expansion into the Central Asian region aligns with the group's development plan, focused on strengthening its Sinsay brand, which is expected to account for 75% of revenues by 2027.
BY THE NUMBERS
LPP plans to open its first store in Uzbekistan in early August and expects to have over 20 stores there by year-end. It also aims to significantly expand in Kazakhstan, adding about 60 new locations this year. In the third quarter, Sinsay will debut in Azerbaijan and Georgia, with an entry into Moldova planned for early 2026.
KEY QUOTE
"Sinsay aims to be as close as possible to the customer, which is why it provides a comprehensive 'Design & Value' offer tailored to their needs — stylish, yet practical and at an affordable price. This is exactly the kind of brand that the price-sensitive Central Asian consumer is waiting for," LPP deputy CEO Marcin Piechocki said in a press release.
