Australia's Firetail Resources gains as BHP picks firm for Xplor program

** Shares of Australia's Firetail Resources  FTL.AX  gain as
much as 17.5% to A$0.067
    ** Stock set for its strongest trading session since
mid-Oct. 2024
    ** The copper focussed miner says it has been selected as
one of the eight exploration firms to take part in BHP's
 BHP.AX  2025 Xplor program
     ** BHP launched the program in 2023 in a bid to support
mineral explorers to accelerate their operations 
    ** BHP Xplor will provide about $500,000 in non-dilutive
funding to FTL's Picha Project in Peru during the six-month
period of the program
    ** Stock rose by 7.8% in 2024
