** Gold producer Manuka Resources Ltd  MKR.AX  gains as much
as 6% to A$0.355, its highest since Sept 9
    ** MKR sold 3,710 ounces of gold and 2,757 ounces of silver
in Sept, a jump from Aug levels, from its Mt Boppy operation in

    ** Co says Sept monthly profit rose to A$4.1 mln ($3.01 mln)
from A$2.8 mln in Aug 
    ** Sept sales rev of A$9.1 mln vs A$7.8 mln in Aug - MKR

184,000 shares
    ** Stock on track to post second consecutive session of
gains
    ** MKR down 9.5% this year, as of last close
