July 24 (Reuters) - Spanish insurer Mapfre MAP.MC reported on Thursday a 23.6% increase in net income for the first half of 2025, supported by improvement in its non-life insurance business, whose profitability increased close to 69%.
The firm's net profit reached 570.4 million euros ($59.21 million), up from 461.6 million euros reported a year ago under local accounting rules. Premiums rose 5.3% to 15.95 billion euros, compared with 15.15 billion euros in the same period last year.
