Markel Canada launches cyber, tech and fintech insurance suite

Aug 27 - (The Insurer) - Markel Canada, part of U.S.-based Markel Group, said it has launched a new suite of primary insurance products designed for the Canadian cyber, technology and fintech sectors.

This includes Cyber 360 Canada, Tech 360 Canada and Fintech 360 Canada, which the insurer said in a statement provide modular coverage and access to incident-response services around the clock.

Cyber 360 offers standalone cyber protection with pre-breach services delivered through partnerships with breach coaches, forensic firms, data restoration specialists and ransom negotiators.

Tech 360 combines technology errors and omissions with cyber and management liability, including directors and officers, employment practices and fiduciary cover. Fintech 360 expands on Markel’s existing fintech policy, adding options for crime, cyber and management liability cover, as well as fintech-specific errors and omissions.
