WARSAW, March 2 - The following are news stories, press

BONDS
Poland's finance ministry will announce bond supply for its
Thursday switch tender at 1400 GMT.
SWISS-FRANC MORTGAGES
The Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) has an estimate of
the potential effects of changes in the legal environment
regarding foreign currency mortgage loans, KNF spokesman Jacek
Barszczewski told Rzeczpospolita.
According to banks' estimates, settlements with foreign
currency mortgage loan holders may cost the sector 35 billion
zlotys ($9.28 billion), Parkiet daily reported. But if the franc
borrowers opted to go to court, the costs for the sector -
depending on the scenario - could range from 6 billion through
120 billion up to over 200 billion zlotys.
COVID-19
In five Polish regions, the rate of COVID-19 cases per
100,000 inhabitants is above the average and these are potential
candidates for tighter restrictions, Dziennik Gazeta Prawna
reported.
RECOVERY PLAN
The implementation of the European Union-funded recovery
plan could accelerate Poland's GDP growth by 1-1.5 percentage
points, provided that Poland also uses the loan part,
Rzeczpospolita daily reported. However, nothing is known about
the government's plans in this regard, the newspaper said.
PENSIONS
The government is to deal with reforms to pension funds,
which will be put before parliament quickly, Dziennik Gazeta
Prawna reprted. The reforms are due to come into force on June
1.
VAT
According to estimates by the CASE Foundation, despite the
pandemic, the VAT gap in 2020 may have dropped by 1-1.5
percentage points compared to 2019, to 8.7-8.2%, Dziennik Gazeta
Prawna reported.
INVESTMENT
Investment fund Dirlango will spend 50-100 million zlotys
this year on a technology company and small stakes in gaming
companies, Puls Biznesu daily reported.
MEDAPP
MedApp MDAP.WA , a company from the medtech sector, plans
to move its shares to the main market of the Warsaw Stock
Exchange at the end of the first quarter, Puls Biznesu reported.
It wants to spend the funds obtained from the emission, among
other things, on certification in the USA.
