** Critical minerals miners rise during trade after reports said the class of minerals could get significant support through potential $150 billion U.S. defence package

** Lynas Rare Earths LYC.AX gains 3%; Meteoric Resources MEI.AX climbs ~10%

** Delta Lithium DLI.AX rises 2.9%; Sayona Mining SYA.AX adds 2.6%

** Defence package will include $20 billion for production of new munitions, expansion of U.S. supplier base and replenishment of critical minerals stockpiles

** Critical minerals include copper, lithium, nickel, cobalt, and rare earth elements
