** TRV reports Q3 revenue of $11.47 bln, misses analyst est. of $11.81 bln, as per LSEG data

** However, adj. EPS of $8.14 beats analyst consensus of $6.35

** MMC reports 3% growth in the Risk & Insurance Services segment, slowing from the previous quarter and flat margins likely due to currency and fiduciary headwinds - Jefferies

** Shares of other U.S insurance companies Prudential Financial PRU.N, American International Group AIG.N, AON AON.N and Metlife MET.N fall between 2.1% and 4.3%

** S&P 500 insurance index .SPXIN falls 3.3% to over two-month low

** Including session's move, TRV up 7% YTD, while MMC down 11.9%
