Wall Street fell sharply for a second straight session on Friday, pushing the Nasdaq toward a bear market, after China imposed fresh tariffs on all U.S. goods in response to the Trump administration's sweeping levies, escalating a global trade war. .N

At 13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 4.34% at 38,787.64. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 4.98% at 5,127.67, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 5.06% at 15,701.88.
