Heavyweight technology stocks led a broad selloff on Wall Street on Thursday after President Donald Trump's sweeping tariffs on major trade partners ignited fears of an all-out trade war and raised the risk of a global economic recession. .N

At 13:30 EDT, the Dow Jones Industrial Average .DJI was down 3.19% at 40,879.97. The S&P 500 .SPX was down 4.02% at 5,442.76, and the Nasdaq Composite .IXIC was down 5.13% at 16,698.24.
