Alastair Goodship Appointed as Chief Operating Officer

 

Mila Resources Plc (LSE:MILA), the post-discovery gold exploration
accelerator, is pleased to announce the appointment of Alastair Goodship to
the Board as Chief Operating Officer ("COO") and Executive Director with
immediate effect.

 

Mr. Goodship, aged 38, has served as Exploration Manager at Mila since Q4
2023, where he has played a pivotal role in identifying projects for
acquisition and advancing the Company's portfolio of interests in Queensland,
including Yarrol, Mt Steadman and Monal.

 

An exploration geologist with over 15 years of global industry experience, Mr.
Goodship has led discovery-focused teams across greenfield and brownfield
exploration, resource definition and feasibility studies, often in technically
challenging environments. Mr. Goodship has experience in gold exploration
across a wide range of deposit types, from shear-related deposits in Archean
terrains in West Africa and South America, to intrusion-related and orogenic
deposits in East and Southern Africa and Australia.

 

He was part of the team that advanced the Kokoyah Gold Mine in Liberia from
resource definition through to pre-feasibility for Amlib before its sale, and
more recently led the team at Piran Resources (now Trinity Metals) to define
significant tin and tantalum resources, progressing the projects through
scoping studies and into production.

 

Alastair was a senior Exploration Geologist with RSC Consulting from 2019 to
2022, working with a range of clients across Africa, Europe and South America,
exploring for a range of commodities with a particular focus on gold and
copper. Prior to joining Mila, he was a Senior Exploration Consultant with
RSCMME Ltd and a technical advisor to Trinity Metals Group.

 

Mr. Goodship holds a BSc (Hons) in Geology from Cardiff University, an MSc in
Mining Geology from the Camborne School of Mines and a further MSc from Lund
University specialising in Quaternary Geology. He recently submitted his PhD,
which focused on advanced remote sensing and landscape analysis, further
strengthening his technical geological expertise. In his capacity as COO, Mr.
Goodship will chair the Company's Technical Committee, ensuring strong
governance and technical oversight across Mila's portfolio.

 

Mark Stephenson, Executive Chairman of Mila, commented:

busy period with Phase 2 drilling underway with the target of delivering a
maiden resource in early 2026, also, we have stepped up our commitment to

cost efficiently. Alastair is attending site this week to oversee the RC
drilling with the newly appointed team at Yarrol.
