TOKYO, Aug 21 (Reuters) - Taiwan's Yageo 2327.TW on Thursday raised its tender offer price for Japan's Shibaura Electronics 6957.T to 6,635 yen a share, after counter-bidder Minebea Mitsumi 6479.T last week matched its previous offer of 6,200 yen.
At the new price, Yageo will spend 101 billion yen ($684.5 million) for thermistor maker Shibaura, up from 94 billion yen, it said in a regulatory filing.
Yageo also extended its offer period to September 4 from August 28.
