Australian miners gain on higher commodity prices

** Shares of Australian miners .AXMM rise as much as 1.6%, hitting their highest level since Oct. 22

** Sub-index on track for its fourth consecutive session of gains

** AXMM tracks higher iron ore and copper prices IRONORE/

** Mining giant BHP Group BHP.AX rise 0.3%, lithium miner Mineral Resources MIN.AX gain 1%

** AXMM up 30% this year, including the day's move
