Australia's Minerals 260 surges on lithium project update in WA

** Shares of Minerals 260  MI6.AX  jump as much as 24.1% to
A$0.72, their highest since Jan. 17, 2022
    ** Stock set to mark best week ever - if current gains hold
    ** Says maiden lithium exploration program is on track at
the Aston project in Western Australia
    ** Adds, initial exploration field work is focusing on known
high-grade lithium trend
    ** Co says preliminary reconnaissance confirms the presence
of numerous pegmatite outcrops
    ** Over 1.2 mln shares have changed hands, vs 30-day average
of about 359,000 shares 
    ** Stock up ~71% this year, as of last close
