TOKYO, May 8 (Reuters) - Japan has decided to send an economic mission to Russia later this month, Kyodo news reported on Friday, citing multiple unnamed sources.
The government sounded out companies such as trading firm Mitsui & Co 8031.T and shipping company Mitsui O.S.K. Lines 9104.T if they could join the delegation on May 26-27, Kyodo said.
Japan had recently denied media reports about its plans to send an economic mission to Russia amid energy supply disruptions due to the U.S.-Israeli war on Iran.
