    The Times
   
    - Thames Water and Southern Water have been told to return
101 million euros ($122.69 million) and 43 million euros ($52.24
million) to customers respectively by cutting bills next year
after failing to meet environmental standards and prevent
leakage across their pipe networks.
    
    - Aviva  AV.L  to buy AIG's  AIG.N  British income
protection and life insurance business for 460 million euros
($558.81 million).

     - Following calls from UK's Conservative Party MPs for the
main tax on inherited wealth to be abolished, the Institute for
Fiscal Studies analysed that scrapping inheritance tax would
cost the government almost 15 billion pounds ($18.22 billion) a
year in lost revenue by 2032. 
    
    - Farhad Moshiri, the Everton Football Club owner, received
more than 400 million pounds ($485.92 million) from Alisher
Usmanov companies in the run-up to the Russian billionaire being
placed under sanctions, raising fresh questions about the
financial ties between the two.

    - US Democratic chair of the Federal Trade Commission (FTC),
Lina Khan has sued Amazon  AMZN.O  to block its "unlawful"
online marketplace monopoly, accused Amazon of using "punitive
and coercive tactics" to lock in businesses and squeeze money
from Prime subscribers.

putting the finishing touches to a line-up of City advisers that

has "surrendered" the lease on one of its London offices as tech
firms continue efforts to slash costs.
