The Company announces that on 24nd November 2017 Shore Capital Stockbrokers Limited ('Shore Capital'), as agent for the Company, purchased 53,821 ordinary shares of 5p each in the Company ('Ordinary Shares') into Treasury. The Ordinary Shares were purchased at a price of 72.00 pence each.
The purchase was made pursuant to the Company's share buy-back programme announcement on 8 November 2017.
Following the purchase, the Company holds 536,367 treasury shares and the Company's issued share capital (excluding shares held as treasury shares) consists of 316,513,315 Ordinary Shares.
The Company's total issued share capital is 317,049,682 Ordinary Shares. The total number of voting rights in the Company is 316,513,315, which is the number which may be used by the Company's shareholders as the denominator for calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify their interest in, or a change to their interests in, the Company under the Financial Conduct Authority's Disclosure Guidance and Transparency Rules.
In accordance with Article 5(1)(b) of Regulation (EU) No 596/2014 (the Market Abuse Regulation), a full breakdown of the individual trades made by Shore Capital on behalf of the Company as part of the buy-back programme is attached to this announcement.
