European tech, semi stocks fall after overnight Nvidia selloff

** Shares of European technology and semiconductor companies
fall due to a negative read-across from an overnight selloff in
U.S. peer Nvidia  NVDA.O , with analysts saying some investors
might have taken profits after the stock's recent strong run
    ** The pan-European STOXX tech index  .SX8P  falls 1.6%,
leading sectoral losses on the wider STOXX 600  .STOXX , which
is down 0.3%
    ** German chip manufacturer Infineon  IFXGn.DE  and Swiss
sensor maker AMS Osram  AMS.S  slide 2.2% and 2.4%, respectively
    ** Dutch chipmaking equipment supplier BE Semiconductor
 BESI.AS  falls 2.2%
    ** Franco-Italian chipmaker STMicroelectronics  STMPA.PA 
slides 2.9%, while Nordic Semiconductor shares fall 2.7%
