Nordic Semiconductor at 1-yr high after better-than-expected Q2, outlook

** Nordic Semiconductor's NOD.OL shares rise around 13% to their highest since July 2024 after the Norwegian fabless chip maker beat Q2 sales expectations and announced Q3 sales outlook ahead of consensus

** "The better-than-expected Q2 performance appears to be driven by large customer ordering with underlying recovery more broadly," J.P.Morgan says

** Nordic Semiconductor guided for Q3 2025 sales of $165-185 million, 7% ahead of company-collated consensus at the mid-point, and cited continuing gradual recovery amongst large key customers and small customers

** "Overall, a strong set of Q2'25 results, however, we still remain concerned on the sustainability of a 20% growth rate beyond 2025, "Jefferies says

** If gains hold, shares will see their best day since February
