Nordic Semiconductor climbs, analyst notes media report on potential Meta AI glasses deal

** Shares in Norwegian chipmaker Nordic Semiconductor NOD.OL up nearly 7% at 01:50 p.m. GMT, with analyst pointing to local media report suggesting potential deal with Meta

** Norwegian business and financial newspaper Finansavisen said, according to Nordic investment bank ABG Sundal Collier, during a panel discussion at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, it was suggested that NOD has secured place in Meta's next generation of AI glasses

** When contacted by Reuters, Nordic Semiconductor said it does not comment on information regarding existing or potential customer relationships

  ** Analyst Marcus Heiberg from SEB says in his view, the group is well positioned to deliver Bluetooth solutions into the Meta ecosystem

** NOD is already designed into Meta's VR glasses, and is well-suited to providing connectivity to various devices and accessories around the AI glasses, he said

     ** The stock is the second biggest gainer on pan-European STOXX 600 index .STOXX

 ** The shares track their best day since mid-February, when they surged 10% after the group's Q1 guidance beat market expectations
