** Shares of Minrex Resources Ltd  MRR.AX  rise as much as
14.3% to A$0.016, set for their best day since May 11, if gains
hold 
    ** Battery metals explorer acquires an exclusive option to
purchase Tancred Lithium Project from Tancred Resources Ltd
    ** Says the project is located in a prospective area in
southeast Ireland
    ** About 2.7 mln shares change hand at 0127 GMT compared to
30-day average trading volume of 2.6 mln shares 
    ** Shares of co are down 56.3% YTD as of last close
