Novan rises as FDA sets action date for skin infection drug

** Shares of Novan Inc  NOVN.O  up 2.7% at $1.14 premarket
    ** The pharmaceutical company says the U.S. FDA has set an
action date of Jan 5, 2024, by which it will decide on marketing
approval for NOVN's lead experimental drug 
    ** The drug berdazimer gel, 10.3% is a potential treatment
for viral skin infections 
    ** Co had cash and cash equivalent of $12.3 mln as of Dec
31, 2022
    **  NOVN shares down 23.97% YTD
