** Shares of chipmaker ON Semiconductor ON.O rise 4.2% to $52.20 premarket

** ON reports Q3 revenue of $1.55 bln, beating analysts' average estimate of $1.52 bln, according to data compiled by LSEG

** Co posts Q3 adj EPS if 63 cents, topping expectations of 59 cents

** ON expects Q4 revenue between $1.48 bln and $1.58 bln; expects adj. EPS between 57 cents and 67 cents, midpoint of which is in line with analysts' expectations

** Up to last close, stock has fallen ~21% this year
