Naheed Memon Appointed to National Hydrogen Working Group in Pakistan
Oracle Power PLC (AIM: ORCP), an international project developer, is pleased to announce that CEO, Naheed Memon, has been appointed as a member of Pakistan's National Hydrogen Working Group (the "Group").
The Group, established by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives, is tasked with developing a long-term national hydrogen strategy. This includes frameworks for hydrogen research, production, storage, consumption, and export, with an emphasis on enabling Pakistan to harness green hydrogen as part of the energy transition and for economic growth.
Ms. Memon's appointment reflects Oracle's growing reputation in the clean energy sector in Pakistan, particularly through its ongoing development of the green hydrogen project in the Sindh Province. Her participation will help shape a policy environment conducive to private sector involvement and international collaboration in the hydrogen sector.
Naheed Memon, CEO of Oracle Power, commented:
"It's an honour to be appointed as a member of the Pakistan National Hydrogen Working Group, a national initiative aimed to shape policy and drive change. Green hydrogen presents an unparalleled opportunity for Pakistan to decarbonise its economy, leverage its renewable resources, and become a regional energy leader. I look forward to working alongside the Group to help define a viable and forward-looking hydrogen roadmap for Pakistan."
