Oscar Health rises as net income doubles, steady medical costs

** Shares of health insurer Oscar Health OSCR.N rise 11.32% to $19.97 premarket

** Posts Q1 net income $679.0 million, or $2.07 per share, compared to $275.3 million, or 92 cents per share, a year earlier

** Medical loss ratio - the share of premiums spent on medical claims - for the quarter was 70.5%, compared to 75.4% a year earlier

** Co reaffirms its full-year 2026 outlook, saying it remains on track to expand margins and achieve meaningful profitability this year

** Posts Q1 revenue of $4.65 billion, vs analysts' estimate of $4.92 billion

** As of last close, OSCR up 24.8% YTD
