Sept 1 (Reuters) - ParkerVision Inc  PRKR.O : 
 * Petitions for inter partes review of 3 patents were filed with U.S. Patent 
   and Trademark Office by Qualcomm Inc and Qualcomm ATHEROS 
 * 3 patents are among 11 patents asserted in Parkervision's U.S. district court 
   infringement lawsuit against Qualcomm, HTC and SAMSUNG 
 * Says petitions request review of an aggregate of 82 claims out of over 500 
   total claims that constitute these three patents 
 * USPTO will review petitions and determine whether or not to institute inter 
   partes reviews within approximately six months 
 * Is in process of reviewing and evaluating petitions, it is premature to 
   speculate what impact proceedings may have on district court case 
 * Says believe window for Qualcomm, as it relates to the remaining eight 
   patents in district court case, has now closed
