Peabody evacuates workers at Wyoming mine after MSHA danger order Oct 16 (Reuters) - Peabody Energy's BTU.N Powder River Mining unit said no miners were injured after workers were evacuated from part of its North Antelope Rochelle mine in Wyoming following an MSHA imminent danger order.
Here are more details:
The order, issued on July 9, stemmed from concerns that loose material could fall from a highwall onto an active haul road used by mine vehicles
The hazard involved material that could spill over a protective berm and fall onto a roadway used by haul trucks and other vehicles, the company said in a filing
The company said mine personnel took measures to mitigate the hazard.
MSHA terminated the Section 107(a) order later the same day, according to the company
