Australia's Perenti gains on contract extensions worth $275 mln

** Shares of Perenti  PRN.AX  up 2.8% at A$0.925, set for
best day since Dec. 27, if gains hold 
    ** Mining service co says its underground mining businesses
have been awarded contract extensions valued A$420 mln ($275.10
mln)
    ** Says extensions include a one-year A$180 mln contract at
AngloGold Ashanti's Obuasi underground gold mine in Ghana
    ** Stock down 13.5% this year, as of last close
