** Shares of Perenti  PRN.AX  climb as much as 2.6% to
A$0.990, set to rise most since July 24 - if current gains hold
    ** Diversified global miner says its underground mining
business, Barminco, has signed 3-year contract with Barrick Gold
 ABX.TO  
    ** Says contract to continue mining at Barrick's Hemlo gold
mine in Canada
    ** Stock has lost 4.8% so far this week, on track for its
worst week since the week ended June 14
    ** Stock down 7.2% this year, as of last close
