India's Petronet LNG sees 2026 imports at 28 mln-29 mln tons

SOUTH GOA, India, Jan 28 (Reuters) - India's top gas importer Petronet LNG PLNG.NS sees the country's liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports rising to 28 million to 29 million metric tons in 2026 compared to about 25.5 million tons in 2025, Managing Director Akshay Kumar Singh told reporters at the Indian Energy Week conference on Wednesday. India is the world's fourth-largest LNG importer.
