April 24 (Reuters) - Australia's PLS Group PLS.AX said on Friday its third-quarter spodumene concentrate production rose 86% from a year ago, backed by strong operations in its Pilgangoora facility and consistently high lithium recovery.
The pure-play lithium miner, formerly Pilbara Minerals, produced 232,436 dry metric tonnes (dmt) of spodumene concentrate, used to make lithium, in the three months ended March 31, higher than the 124,978 dmt recorded in the same period last year, beating the Visible Alpha consensus estimate of 215,000 dmt.
