Australia's PLS Group reports rise in Q2 spodumene production

Jan 30 (Reuters) - Australia's PLS Group PLS.AX said on Friday its second-quarter spodumene concentrate production rose as continued mining efficiencies at its Pilgangoora Operation in the Pilbara region lifted processing throughput and lithium recoveries.

The pure-play lithium miner, formerly Pilbara Minerals,  produced 208,000 metric tonnes of spodumene concentrate, used to make lithium, in the three months ended December 31, higher than the 188,200 dry metric tonnes recorded in the same period last year.
    The company has changed its reporting unit from dry metric tonnes to metric tonnes.
