** AlphaValue analyst Yi Zhong says the penalty represents about 15% of the estimated net profit for the French voucher and benefits provider in 2028
** Zhong notes that Edenred avoids penalties by participating in a leniency programme, which leaves Pluxee unable to participate
** "Pluxee's remaining options are to defend itself in court to seek a reduction in the penalty or pursue an out-of-court settlement," Zhong adds
** Pluxee says it will assess the complaint while reaffirming its commitment to ethical business conduct
** Shares are down over 13% YTD
