Porsche CFO: possible US Audi plant would not benefit our business
Porsche CFO: possible US Audi plant would not benefit our business FRANKFURT, Oct 27 (Reuters) - A possible US plant by Audi would not turn into a business case for Porsche P911_p.DE, the luxury sportscar maker's finance chief said on Tuesday, responding to questions on whether the two brands, both owned by Volkswagen VOWG_p.DE, could share plant space.
"If we would assume that there would be a factory, we still believe that this would not turn out into a business case for Porsche to move our production into the United States," Jochen Breckner told analysts after presenting third-quarter results.
"It's still adding complexity to our business. We would still have engines in other parts that we would need to export into the United States. We would have double investments when it comes to suppliers."
